The author develops an important concept of acousmatic listening: the “écoutabilité” (€˜appreciability’ the acceptable conditions to create morphologies for the listening experience). This concept relates to Bayle’s concept concerning coherence. The composer works with these two ideas to organise material and to construct his musical work. In this way he creates musical markers for the listener. Through this theory, the author describes the composer’s knowledge.
