The author presents his theory of “décorrélation microtemporelle” (microtemporal decorrelation) in electroacoustic music. This theory consists of adding a microtemporal shift (phase shift) to sound files to create the feeling of spatial movement. He details the better techniques to realise this and, through examples, defines the qualities of his model.
