Invention and Innovation: A Vital Partnership

EMAS (Electro-Acoustic Music Association of Great Britain): Vol. 1, No. 2. London: EMAS: p9.

In this brief article, the author argues that electronic music studios should not rely as much as they do on commercial music synthesis packages, as this could eventually lead to artistic stagnation. He suggests that studios should invest more effort in developing their own, or having some say in technological innovation, and should also be more open to sharing their approaches with other studios.
