Intermodulation: A Short History

Thursday 27 July 2006, by Rob Weale

In this article, the author offers a brief overview of the live electronic group ‘Intermodulation’, of which he was a member. Formed in 1969 (disbanded in 1976) the group developed techniques of integration and intercommunication in the field of live electronics. Their performance approach involved the extension and transformation of more or less conventional instruments through electronic means. Included in the article is a repertoire of works, notes on several memorable concerts and excerpts of concert reviews.
