This paper discusses three types of sound poetry: text-sound composition, intermedia performance/visual poetry, and text composition. The author observes how each type is linked to particular technologies (recording techniques, sound effects, diffusion, etc.). He also offers a historical overview of electroacoustic music, from the initial explorations in the1950s to more recent developments.
