In this article, the author demonstrates some of the strategies used by different composers to create their compositional spatial models. She discusses several different methods of spatialisation that involve temporal pitch changes, amplitude panning changes, spectral transformations, re-synthesis by convolution and transposition, expansion, and granulation - in relation to works by composers such as Jean-Claude Risset, Horacio Vaggione, Barry Truax and others.
