Using the convolution to blend brass timbres

Convolution as a timbre blending tool is exemplified in the context of the creation of an electroacoustic piece of music. The characteristics of the fusion of ensemble timbres are related to the fusion obtained with convolution for tonal, continuous brass sounds. Examples of different convolved sounds used in the electroacoustic piece Constellations 1 are provided. The whole piece with the overall structure of the evolution of different pairs of fused convolved sounds is also shown.
