Electroacoustic music needs new types of concerts. In the first parts of this article, the author explains the specificity of this type of music, the relationships between music and space and analyses various systems (Gmebophone, Acousmonium, Espace de projection of IRCAM, subaquatic concerts by Michel Redolfi) and performance possibilities. Afterwards, he describes several examples: Poésie pour pouvoir and Dialogue de l’ombre double by Pierre Boulez, Kathinka’s Gesang by Karlheinz Stockhausen and Inharmonique by Jean-Claude Risset. In conclusion, he presents the role of space in musical illusions.
